Botswana has an arid climate with a yearly average of only 250mm rainfall. 

November - March

• The rainy season, not that there is a lot of rain even then.  

• The occasional, thunderstorms with startling cloud formations are spectacular.  

• This is also the warmest part of the year

April - October

• The rest of the year is mainly dry, getting hotter towards October and November.  

• Overnight frost is not uncommon in June in the Gaborone area but Botswana’s weather moves quickly; it is still hot during the day and the humidity is very low.
